The discussion about the content of the understanding between the governments of the United States, Iran, the reaction of Israel and other governments in the region, the world, the winner and loser of the war, the chances of continuing or terminating the negotiations, and the like is quite heated. The workers are also forced to recognize what is about to happen, but only from the perspective that their ever-ongoing coercive campaign requires a conscious analysis of the prevailing conditions, the changes within them. One thing is clear. In the war of the various states and sections of the bourgeoisie against each other, regardless of the defeat or victory of one side or the other, the working masses are the inevitable losers, the capitalist system is the absolute winner. The 40-day war and the signed memorandum of understanding also reflect the truth of this belief. The capitalist class and the governments of both Iran and America have won enough. As far as the Islamic Republic is concerned, what was once called its “proxy” and labelled as terrorists, are now considered its “allies.” Its sovereignty is accepted by America, its allies, and with this acceptance, the way for its Revolutionary Guard Corps to be removed from the list of terrorists is also opened. A part of the global and regional bourgeoisie, which was counting the days until the war for its fall, is now ready to invest 300 billion dollars in the territory it has conquered. The devastating sanctions of the US, the Security Council, the Board of Governors of the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the primary and secondary sanctions are weakening and are taking the path of abolition. The saviour of the “Islamic nation” of Lebanon, and perhaps other nations, the war gave them the opportunity to massacre tens of thousands of protesters, forcing them to riot in the streets, to make the shooting ranges wider, the executions more numerous, and the memorandum made this opportunity more golden to commit genocide than before, to destroy the working masses day by day. All of these are precious trophies for the predatory rulers of Islamic capitalism.
Let us add one more point. It is possible, even with a high probability, that Trump has deliberately retreated from the regime under the pressure of the predicaments resulting from the war, including the risk of losing the Republicans, the intensification of the current capitalist crisis due to the explosion of energy prices, and the spread of discontent among the poorer layers of the American working class, in order to overcome his problems in future negotiations and try to regain this or that concession. This possibility exists, but even this emergency retreat of the United States and what remains of the achievements is a clear victory for the Islamic regime.
On the other side of the story, let’s look at the American bourgeoisie and its government. In recent years, the Middle East witnessed a relative decline in trade with America, and an increase in trade with China. Only the United Arab Emirates increased its imports and exports with China by 30% every year. Saudi Arabia was ahead of this accelerator. Iraq and Oman also followed the same path. The war gave a heavy blow to this process, America’s lagging behind China is bigger than with these solutions!! to compensate, but it is the custom of the drowning man to “chew every thorn.” Europe’s losses in the war, contrary to some assumptions, were not considered bad for American capitalism, but more or less auspicious. The Arab countries of the Middle East, and many more countries in the world, increased their defence budgets to buy more and more modern weapons from the American military giants. The huge oil trusts of America and Europe turned their sales market into gold, and the profit figures were astronomical. Shell’s profit reached 7 billion in the first quarter of the year alone. BP also made a profit of 3.3 billion in the same short time. American banks overtook them and increased their profit volume in the first quarter of the year to more than 47 billion dollars.
Israel is the third side of the war triangle that some call its enemy!! Thanks to the 12-day, 40-day wars, and its continuous war in Palestine, the region has advanced to the point where, in a mixture of reality and illusion, it has made the architecture of the Israeli Middle East the order of its genocides and atrocities. It has destroyed Gaza, the West Bank, devastated Lebanon, made Syria a silent life, and made its control over the occupied territories stronger than ever. It has adorned the cycle of capital appreciation by producing the most advanced digital techniques and has expanded the market for the sale of its modern weapons all over the world.
The question of which war-making or war-targeting state won or lost? Let us leave it to the governments, the ruling predatory bourgeoisie, or the mercantile opposition to power. The harsh reality on earth is that in all past and present wars between the capitalists of the world, countries, and their governments, capitalism is the absolute winner, and the workers are the cursed losers, losing everything, and sitting on the black ground. The 40-day war drastically reduced the real cost of labour for the working masses all over the world, simply by causing the price of basic necessities of life, the cost of reproducing their labour, to skyrocket. The capitalists of the countries, with the fuss about the rising cost of energy, increased prices as much as they could, and with every rial increase in the price of commodities they bombarded the purchasing power of the working masses to the same extent. All the capitalist governments of the world took the war as a valuable opportunity to distribute the burden of the crisis of capitalism’s everywhere rebelliousness onto the empty table of the workers. All these savage plague-like bloodbaths in the capitalist hell of Iran were usually accompanied by the most brutal massacres, the most violent floods of blood, and the most executions. Hunger raged more than ever before, many workers lost their homes, more and more of you were unable to pay the rent for the slums, the price of medicine and treatment skyrocketed, and millions of workers unable to pay these costs surrendered to the death of themselves or their loved ones. To summarize, in the 40-day war, like all the savage wars of the capitalists and capitalist states, the capitalist class of the countries won, the workers of the world and, even greater, more terrible than anywhere else, the workers of Iran lost, a loss that is not limited to what they have endured so far, during the war and the ceasefire. The signing of the memorandum was the beginning of a more terrible, more plague-like escalation of this loss.
The capitalists are preparing themselves to begin a new season of more ferocious attacks on the existence and non-existence of the working masses. They have made huge profits and now see the post-war conditions as a golden opportunity for new accumulations, accumulations, investments whose golden profitability depends on the ever-increasing decline in the real price of the workers’ labour power. They will once again rapidly raise the prices of the basic necessities of life for the working masses, keep wages lower than ever, make the rent of the humble residential shacks, the cost of water, electricity, gas, internet, and above all medicine, treatment, education, transportation, explode everything, and launch attacks and aggressions that will manifest themselves in scattered strikes without any echo in the workplaces, in the streets, or in the “We will take our rights on the street”!! appealing to the law, hanging onto government institutions, getting involved in the miracles of this and that mafia will only make our days darker, and the path to salvation more difficult. Another strategy, other solutions, other areas of alignment, new fields of campaign must be sought. Let us forever abandon all forces claiming to be saviours, all opposition outside and inside the political power structure, the desire to decorate and embellish the wage slavery system, and let us take the path of relying on the transformative and history-making power of our class, the working class, all sectors in industry, education, agriculture, transportation, treatment, health, roads, construction, mining, housekeeping, restaurants, hotels, forests, water, electricity, publishing, digital networks, offices, employed, unemployed, students, pupils, retirees. In the first step, let us raise the flag of outsourcing livelihood, medicine, treatment, housing, water, electricity, internet, the necessities of a free prosperous life without the need for the domination of buying and selling. To fulfil this indictment, let us undertake the work of organizing nationwide, councils. Let us start from home, neighbourhood, workplace, school, university, wherever we are. Let us shake off the illusion of the “impossible.” Let us abandon historically failed, fruitless, and exhausting methods of protest, and let us gather around a single demand, a single nationwide councils organized power.
