For nine decades, millions of oppressed and oppressed Palestinian workers have endured and continue to endure a global capitalist genocide and holocaust that is similar to or even more catastrophic, brutal, and criminal than the one depicted above. Their history of the last 90 years is the history of the massacres of hundreds, hundreds, thousands, thousands, several hundred thousand in Haifa, Al-Amoud, Bilad al-Sheikh, Al-Saraya Arabiya, Sheikh Brak, Sa’sa, Sha’ar Abbas, Qalunya, Dir’ Yassin, Beit Drass, Tantura, the history of the tsunami-like bloodbaths of Kafr Qasim, Khan Yunis, 1956, Qobiya, 1953, Gaza, 1955, Abu Za’bal, 1970, Sidon, 1980, Sabra and Shatila, 1982, the day-to-day and increasing massacres of the brutal Israeli army during the six years of the first intifada, then the second and third intifadas, the bloodbath of Haram al-Ibrahim, Qana, and finally the current two-year Holocaust with over a hundred thousand dead, tens of thousands of children reduced to ashes, and Gaza reduced to dust. These are the continuous links in the chain of genocides, holocausts that global capitalism has committed against this part of the working class of the world. Each of them was and is a huge human catastrophe, but they are not a cause for any astonishment or surprise. It is the nature of capital to do so. We are not talking about the entire record of genocide, destruction, war and barbarity of capitalism against humans. The discussion is about the reaction, the campaign and the role that the global working class, several million Palestinian workers and billions of workers like them all over the world, have played and demonstrated against these barbarities, bloodsheds and holocausts over several generations. What should be the target of a radical analysis is the latter, not the former.
The whisper of the formation of the State of Israel emerged in the distant past and for the first time from the filthy throat of the most ferocious, most feared section of the world bourgeoisie. It was international capital that designed this edifice. The establishment of a phenomenon called Israel and its octopus state, boiled from the depths of the rebellious needs of the wage slavery system, the urgent need for lineups, forced blockades within the world bourgeoisie. Capital had a fundamental need for this octopus to crush and eliminate the danger of the international labour movement from its own head. The entire top and bottom, the starting and ending points of the process were written and engineered by the world capitalist class and the man-killing system of wage slavery.
What has had no relevance, impact, status, or role in this has been the current situation of the “Jews”!! There is no trick more vile, shameless, or scandalous than claiming that the most predatory sections of the bourgeoisie from the West to the East, from the “Soviet camp” of capital to the most war-mongering imperialist poles of capitalism, overwhelmed with mourning for the displacement of the “Jewish people”, have joined hands and issued the order for a “Greater Jihad” to save this “people” or religious sect!! History has not recorded such a massive and explosive deception and lie in its memory. The first brick of the establishment of Israel was laid with this global explosive trick and lie in the place where millions of workers, the underprivileged, and the toiling Palestinians live. All sections of the bourgeoisie had enough to gain from this scenario. The Western imperialists and the Zionist bourgeoisie made it a bulwark of their violence, power, and stormy fielding to stifle any international dissenting voice, brutally suppress the regional and global labour movement, and a joint headquarters to confront the opposing section of the global bourgeoisie. The Soviet camp saw its emergence as a legitimate vehicle to attract the anti-Western bourgeoisie of the Middle East, Africa, and the world and strengthen its pole against its rivals. The Arab nationalism that dominates the region and North Africa, the oppositions that are eyeing the rise to power, while seeing the horrific emergence of the Holocaust as a plague-ridden attack on their property, sovereignty, and power, tried to use it as an opportunity to raise the banner of opposition to the occupation, support the Palestinian resistance, extinguish every flame of the anti-capitalist campaign of the working class, and transform the labour movement of countries into the infantry of their international demands for share.
All these blocs, satellite governments, oppositions, even in opposite ways, started to exploit this scenario in hostile alignments. What became the absolute victim in the meantime was the Palestinian working masses and the labour movement of many countries. The nationalist anti-occupation movement did not cure the pain of the cursed Palestinian worker, it was a chain that fell on the hands and feet of its growing class struggle. What is and is not the several million workers of this land that were burning to ashes in the fire of its Tatar and plague invasions, was global capitalism. Any level of struggle against this inhuman and warmongering occupying octopus also required the fury, fieldwork, and organized campaign of the working masses of Palestine, the region, and the world, which was as global and international as possible. The land and time of the brutal, inhumane, imperialist capitalist invasion screamed here that there was no nationalist solution before the Palestinian workers. The incident did not even bear much resemblance to the colonial occupation of countries by the predatory giants of capitalist power in the previous period. It was not the kind of occupation of Latin American, African, Asian, and Oceanian countries by the belligerent armies of several European countries, it did not evoke the French colonial invasion of Algeria from 1830 to 1962, it did not recall the occupation of India by the belligerent British army from 1858 to 1947, the time of the incident was essentially and historically different from the above events. There was no question of overthrowing a government by a colonial, imperialist capitalist power and installing a puppet regime. The story was going horribly wrong.
The largest part of world capitalism with all its devastating and devastating arsenals of weapons, the entire force of militaristic violence, the long chain of murderous armies, a fortress of violence, holocaust, genocide, and from all over the world they were sending convoys of weapons, capital, money, weapons, technology, and knowledge to protect it. The rival poles, as far as the consolidation, survival, establishment, and role-playing of the fortress full of secrets were concerned, not only did they not complain, but they hysterically and disgustingly called for the “right to defend themselves.” In such a situation, in the depths of such a burning and human-burning historical catastrophe, by setting up several offices, nationalist groups, forming several military training bases, planning guerrilla warfare, blowing the anti-occupation trumpet and forming a national government!! Not a single step was taken towards establishing any victorious movement, any powerful field, any liberating counter-power!!
This was like laying a crooked brick on which the wall would lean to the ground, each brick not being a mechanism for consolidation, solidity, stability and survival of the building but an Achilles’ heel of continuous weakening, inevitable instability and ultimately the inevitable collapse of the wall. Instead of this, the Palestinian worker should have made every shelter, nest of life, refugee camp, country of refuge, every work center, every labour market, every place in the world a place for a unified, global, class-based, anti-capitalist organization. Wherever he could, he tried to win the support of the Israeli workers, who were reluctant to act against the imperialist aggression of capitalism. He extended a hand of support and solidarity to the Arab, Turkish, Kurdish and Persian workers of the region. It raised the banner of workers’ internationalism, seeking help from all workers. The Palestinian working masses, displaced and targeted for genocide, could play the role of a spark in the powder magazine of discontent, anger and class violence of the connected masses of the Middle East, Africa, Asia and elsewhere by discovering the best solutions. It became the connecting link of the conscious anti-capitalist movements of the countries, to the extent that it advanced and won on this path, the more conscious, more soviet, more anti-capitalist it played this role, the stronger, more bony, more rebellious and more field-oriented it became. The correctness of such an approach and the acceptance of a prospect for its victory in the current conditions of the existing world, where the workers’ movement remains buried in a fossil mass, is certainly difficult for the younger generation of the international working class, and its plan may have turned out to be delusional!!
But for the awake, conscious workers, familiar with the specific historical conditions of those days, this is not the case. This is an important secret of the class struggle and especially the conscious anti-capitalist campaign that if the moments, minutes and conditions of each phase of radical exploitation are not taken, opportunities will inevitably be lost, weaknesses, rebelliousness, lethargy and Achilles’ heels will flare up. The Palestinian workers did not take the high road, they missed important opportunities. They became the infantry of nationalism, the fighting army of the nationalist forces above, they became involved in the governments, they hung on the Madrid Conferences and the Oslo Accords, they were worn out and worn out until they fell into the present situation. Just in the same way that the world labour movement did not take the path of radical anti-capitalist campaign and fell into the current catastrophic situation. The fate of the life and struggle of the Palestinian workers was not to endure a long chain, genocide after genocide by the ruling beasts of Israel, America, the European Union, the democracy camp and to burn and become ashes in the global crematorium of the global bourgeoisie in Gaza. Other ways, including raising the banner of the labour and anti-capitalist campaign in the region, in every workplace, exploitation and residence, playing the role of a burning center of comradeship, solidarity, and unanimity of all the workers in the region, were also open to them. Would they have won in that case or not? The answer is not clear, but one thing is clear. Even if they were defeated, the defeated were undoubtedly determined, loud, aware, steadfast with a firm will to learn lessons and continue the struggle until the final victory.
From history, we can understand that the working masses, the targets of the 80-year genocides of global capital in Palestine, lost huge opportunities during these many decades. Missed opportunities that gave birth to defeat after defeat. Each defeat made the path of the campaign tens of times more uneven, impassable, complicated, dusty and difficult than before, created destructive confusions, made the wounds more painful and the weaknesses more numerous. It made the barriers on the way more iron. It allowed capitalism to subject the protesters and fighters to even more severe physical and intellectual repression, burying them in the cemetery of its highly destructive engineering of ideas and prescriptions. All this has happened, but still the only way for Palestinian workers is to turn to the world working class, to raise their voice to the working masses of the world, to try to unite billions of workers of the world, to open a blazing front of class campaign against global capitalism, against all the poles, the predatory capitalist governments from the West to the East, from the camp of democracy to the pan-Islamist groups to Arab nationalism and at the forefront of them are the warmongering, genocidal beasts of Israel, America, and Europe. We must take under the whip of the campaign, around a crushing, humane, anti-capitalist indictment, all that these governments and forces have done in Palestine during these eighty years. We must work with all our might to establish such a movement and open such a stormy front of struggle. Looking at the miracle of governments, organizations, and oppositions, each of which, in some way, in a dress, with a face, under a flag, has been present and caused our fall into the hell of terror and terror, is the worst and most disgusting thing imaginable.
